Fabric Weight to Area Weight Converter
What is Fabric Area Weight?
Fabric area weight refers to the weight of the fabric in terms of its surface area. It is commonly measured in grams per square meter (g/m²) or grams per square yard (g/yd²).How to Convert Fabric Weight (GSM) to Area Weight
The fabric weight in GSM can easily be converted to fabric area weight by using the following conversions:- GSM to g/yd²: Multiply the GSM value by 0.836127.
- GSM to g/m²: The fabric weight in GSM is already the fabric area weight in g/m².
Example Table (GSM to Area Weight)
| Fabric Weight (GSM) | Area Weight (g/yd²) | Area Weight (g/m²) |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | 83.61 | 100 |
| 150 | 125.42 | 150 |
| 200 | 167.22 | 200 |
| 250 | 209.03 | 250 |
| 300 | 250.83 | 300 |
