What is TPI and Yarn Count?
TPI (Threads per Inch) is the number of threads in one inch of woven fabric. It’s used to measure fabric density.
Yarn Count (Ne) is a unit that defines the fineness of yarn. A higher count means finer yarn.
How to Convert TPI to Yarn Count
Yarn Count can be estimated from TPI using this formula:
Yarn Count (Ne) = TPI / 4.5
Example:
If TPI = 90, then Yarn Count = 90 / 4.5 = 20
