What is Worsted Count (NeK) and Tex?
Worsted Count (NeK) is a yarn count system where the count indicates the number of 560-yard lengths per pound. A higher count means finer yarn.
Tex is a metric unit representing the mass in grams of 1000 meters of yarn. Higher Tex means thicker yarn.
How to Convert NeK to Tex
Use the formula:
Tex = 590.5 ÷ NeK
Example:
If NeK = 10, then Tex = 590.5 ÷ 10 = 59.05
