Sine to Triangle Side Ratio Converter
How to Convert Sine to Triangle Side Ratio
The sine of an angle in a right triangle is the ratio of the length of the opposite side to the hypotenuse.
Formula:
sin(θ) = Opposite / Hypotenuse
To find the side ratio, assume the hypotenuse is 1 (unit triangle). Then:
Opposite = sin(θ) × 1 = sin(θ)
Example:
Suppose sin(θ) = 0.6
Step 1: Assume Hypotenuse = 1
Step 2: Opposite = 0.6 × 1 = 0.6
So, the ratio is Opposite : Hypotenuse = 0.6 : 1
Result: The triangle side ratio is 0.6 : 1
